Leftovers - Cigarettes And Alcohol 7" test press

Like other contributors here, I generally find test pressings as dull as dish water but there are some that rise above. Here's one of the two test pressings made for the Leftovers' Cigarettes And Alcohol 7" (source: EMI Custom pressing plant logbook). The other one was auctioned off on eBay in the early 00s by Jules Normington, but didn't have the cool Letraset accoutrements that this one does. Who did 'em? I don't know. Maybe Dave Holliday or Rowdy Rod McLeod might - they paid for the thing. Anyway, this one was on the wall at Jules' Phantom Records in the mid 90s for $25, but was too trashed for me. Retired collector Steve Floyd bought it and later on when I became a complete record slut, I bought it from Steve. Yes, all those chips outta the edge of the record are real, this baby is trashed. - Henry Weld
