(beautiful NM condition, this is the original 1979 release poster/flyer for the Avengers 4-song 12" EP on White Noise records. It is flyer-sized (8.5 by 11 inches) and is offset printed on off-white paper. It is NOT a xerox or silkscreen. The main graphic is the same one used for the cover of the record. There is a White Noise Records logo at bottom-right. The text at top says: "Despite subversive foreign influences, at long last, Avengers / 4 classics by San Francisco's legendary Avengers with original tracks produced by Steve Jones / Available in discerning outlets or by mail. Send $4 to White Noise, Dept. N, 1934-1/2 N Rodney, LA, CA 90027", The Avengers EP was a pressing of 10,000 (yes, that's ten thousand) and as a result it turns up quite often. This poster is far harder to find)

7" 1983 Upper Montclair NJ (NM/NM, Stardust SR8301, This has to be my favorite oddball, not-quite-punk record from New Jersey in the '76-'83 era. In the Volume 3 Discography, I said "Bizarre record with somewhat funky intrumental backing is saved by the punky vocals of seven different singers. B-side turns up the funk. Cover photo rivals NYC's Ducky Boys for dumbest/coolest looking band." Everyone I play it for at least gets a kick out of it (especially if they get the NJ-centric lyrics). Some even love it. Co-engineered by Gray Russell who is best known for his work on the Tom Petty "Damn the Torpedoes" LP (!) You need to own this.)

(beautiful NM condition, this is the original 1978 release poster for the "Live at Surf City" single by Vom, the band that later became the Angry Samoans. It is flyer-sized (8.5 by 11 inches), but is high-quality printing on glossy poster paper. It is NOT a color xerox or silkscreen. I've seen a lot of original posters for Killed By Death punk bands, and this is easily one of the top 5 examples in terms of graphic design. The image of singer Richard Meltzer wearing pants on his head is repeated and resized, reminiscent of the classic "50 Million Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong" album cover. The colors are just amazing. The text from top to bottom says: "Good, clean American fun for young people / R. Meltzer's Vom performs "Live at Surf City" / A five tune 7 incher from White Noise Records. Available now / Vom / "Live at Surf City" / White Noise Records © 1978", The Vom single was a pressing of 2000, and as a result it turns up quite often. This poster is far harder to find. )
